This song and video are an allegory. A metaphor.
The story of one woman and many
others.
A woman in thrall,
A woman under duress.
A woman like an old toy
A woman who doesn’t dare regain power.
Her power.
Her integrity.
A woman who, to be left in peace, has become a machine. Disembodied.
And then one day…
And then one day, she won’t tremble with fear anymore. Or maybe just a little less than usual.
She’ll summon all her courage She’ll
channel her energy. She’ll fight the battle of her life.
She won’t take it anymore. STOP. Over.
She’ll regain her position. At the center of herself.
She’ll reconnect to her essence, her spirit, her body.
She will hold her own hand. Decide to
console herself.
Free herself.
She will denounce her tormentor. Whatever
form he took.
With her dented soul, her fragile flesh, her padlocked heart.
She will give herself the right to dream again.
This woman could be you, your daughter, your mother. It could also be the woman you pass furtively in the street, the one who’s always smiling and speaking her mind.
This song is for all those women, our sisters, beautiful and strong.
And for all those, beautiful and strong as
well who are still in the dark.

Lyrics:

You
see me
as a puppet
A creature from abroad
lying on a blanket
Even if you pay for the game
You don’t have to play with the shame
Break the rules cut the cam
Enjoy the silence of the lambs

Turn to the left
Turn to the right
Get up, Get Down
Hin, hin

Turn to the left
Turn to the right
Get up, Get Down
Hin, hin

Same player why don’t you shoot again
Same player
Same player will never shoot again
Will never shoot again

I see you
Coward
As a prophet
As a preacher
Liar
Cuming in your sweat
Even if you pay for the game
Now i’m gonna play with your shame
I break the rules
Don’t cut the cam
Remember the Silence Of The Lambs

Turn to the left
Turn to the right
Get up, Get out
Ha, ha, ha

Turn to the left
Turn to the right
Get up, Get out
Ha, ha, ha

Same player why don’t you shoot again
Same player
Same player will never shoot again
Will never shoot again

Same player why don’t you shoot again
Same player
Same player why don’t you shoot again
Why don’t you shoot again
Same player will never shoot again
Will never shoot again
Will never shoot again
